Bel Hernandez – Letty Lam
Bel Hernandez is returning to her acting roots after a 16-year absence. Her film credits include Academy Award® nominee Gregory Nava’s SELENA starring Jennifer Lopez, Nava’s Academy Award®-nominated MY FAMILY with Academy Award® nominee Edward James Olmos and Tony Spiridakis’s THE LAST WORD with Academy Award® winners Timothy Hutton and Richard Dreyfuss. Television credits include: BEVERLY HILLS, 90210, CHICAGO HOPE and L.A. LAW as well as the TV movie THE ALAMO: THIRTEEN DAYS OF GLORY with Academy Award® nominee Alec Baldwin. Hernandez is President/CEO of Latin Heat Media, a multi-media company creating content for the U.S. Latino market. A pioneer in many ways, she was the first Latina Chairperson to serve on the board of the prestigious George Foster Peabody Awards, which honor excellence in radio, television and documentaries. Hernandez is currently executive producer and host of HOLA L.A.! – the first English-language TV talk show with a Latina POV, which airs on KCAL/CBS in Los Angeles. She was born in Zacatecas, Mexico and raised in the Boyle Heights neighborhood of Los Angeles.
