Dave Volpe is a composer based in Los Angeles who loves film, collaboration and making music. He is a graduate of the Scoring for Motion Pictures and Television Program at USC where he was mentored by Academy Award® nominated composer Thomas Newman and scored numerous student films. Volpe also learned from some of the industry’s leading professionals including Jack Smalley, Chris Young, and Academy Award® nominee Bruce Broughton. In addition to composing for and collaborating with many filmmakers and musicians in Los Angeles, he is a tenor in the Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles and keeps a food blog about eating well as a starving artist.
